Pubom / platform documentation

Build publication services with confidence.

Your working guide to creating polished service journeys, controlling the work behind them, and delivering finished copies through Pubom.

Overview

Pubom turns a WooCommerce product into a guided, template-driven application for publication services — advertisements, notices, affidavits, trustee announcements, press releases and more.

Each template controls the questions, publication-ready copy, price, documents, signatures and customer experience after payment. It replaces disconnected product add-ons, email threads and manual handoffs with one dependable operational flow.

What Pubom brings together: visual form building, live pricing and previews, document collection, e-signatures, PDF letters, custom statuses, bulk delivery and a customer My Documents area.

The customer lifecycle

  1. Fill: Customers complete a guided form while the preview and total update live.
  2. Checkout: The application carries every answer to cart and checkout; direct checkout can skip the cart.
  3. Provide: Supporting documents, acceptance forms and signatures are collected when required.
  4. Fulfil: Staff review the complete order, prepare the copy and progress it through meaningful statuses.
  5. Deliver: Finished copies arrive through secure links and remain in My Documents.

Getting started

  1. Create a template. Go to Pubom → Add Template and name the service.
  2. Build the form. Add fields, arrange them into steps and rows, and add help where it matters.
  3. Compose the copy. Write the publication text with tokens such as {campaign_title}.
  4. Set rules. Add pricing, requirements, documents and signature settings.
  5. Attach it. Select the template in the product’s Publication form box.

The form builder

Pubom’s no-code builder includes 18 field types: text, dates, dropdowns, image options, files, signatures, live previews, calculated fields, custom amounts and more. Fields can be grouped into multi-step pages and side-by-side rows.

CapabilityHow it helps
Conditional logicShow only relevant questions or requirements, so customers never face a blank or confusing path.
RepeatersCollect a configurable number of related entries, such as trustee names or multiple placements.
Long listsUse bulk options, presets and typeable cascading choices for complex datasets.
Calculated fieldsDerive values from answers and optionally include them in the running total.

Copy, tokens & live preview

Publication copy, previews, letters and acceptance terms share one simple template language. Insert an answer with {field_key}; use filters such as {name|upper} or {date|date:long}; and show blocks only when a value exists.

CAMPAIGN NOTICE
{advertiser} presents {campaign_title}.
[[if run_date]]Running from {run_date|date:long}. [[endif]]

Live preview lets customers see their submitted information become publication-ready copy as they complete the service.

Pricing that stays clear

Pubom calculates the same current total on the form, cart and checkout. Create a price from the product’s base fee plus priced choices, per-page charges, calculated fields or a bespoke customer amount.

Documents, letters & signing

Set each document requirement’s timing, accepted file types, size limit and conditions. Customers receive a clear post-payment checklist; staff can approve or reject files with a reason and re-upload link.

Collect signatures by drawing or upload, ask customers to accept terms online, and generate signed application letters as PDFs with an audit trail.

Orders, statuses & delivery

The Pubom panel on each WooCommerce order brings together customer answers, rendered copy, price breakdown, documents, signatures and delivery history. Create custom statuses such as Scheduled, Printing, Published and Delivered, each with its own customer email.

Use Pubom → Deliver Copies to attach a shared or per-order file, send secure expiring links in bulk, and optionally set an order status after delivery.

Built to fit your operation

Pubom supports white-label presentation across customer language, emails, login and administration. Create focused user types for roles such as lawyers or printers, controlling which Pubom areas and WooCommerce capabilities each role can access.

Duplicate high-performing templates, export them as JSON, and import them into another site to build a repeatable service catalogue without starting over.

Emails & settings

Customise document reminders, rejected-document notifications, delivery messages and custom-status emails. Use tokens such as {customer_name}, {order_id}, {service_name} and {download_link}.

For dependable delivery: set a valid From address and use SMTP for transactional mail.

Troubleshooting

The form does not show on a product

Confirm that the product has a template selected in its Publication form box.

Emails are not arriving

Set a valid From address and configure SMTP on the WordPress site.

The letter PDF has no signature

Ensure the PHP GD extension is enabled; it is used to embed captured signatures in generated PDFs.
